This Silver-winning entry showcases a comprehensive lead safety course designed to engage, educate, and inspire employees at Glencore facilities regarding critical choices for their own lead safety, and that of their families. The course deployed an integrated approach, utilizing a story-based 2-D video, an interactive scenario-based eLearning course, and a nine-poster series to deliver a consistent and impactful message across multiple learning modalities.
Targeting workers who may have grown complacent about lead exposure risks, the campaign was specifically crafted to speak to both the hearts and minds of its intended audience. It fosters a deep understanding of the serious health risks associated with elevated blood lead levels while reinforcing practical, actionable steps to prevent or reduce exposure. By emphasizing both personal well-being and the safety of loved ones and co-workers, this initiative is designed to drive lasting behavioral change and a renewed commitment to safety protocols.
This lead safety awareness campaign addressed a critical organizational challenge: overcoming complacency around lead exposure and fostering a culture of accountability to lower blood lead levels. The program’s learning objectives ensured workers:
