Guest Experience Training

Much more than a 10-day long celebration with midway rides and bucking broncos, the Calgary Stampede is a gathering place that hosts, educates, and entertains visitors from around the world.

The Challenge

How does the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth continually deliver a stellar experience to the millions of visitors to its internationally recognized event? Calgary Stampede has done this for more than a 100 years by understanding their core values and the Wow factor that each element of the customer experience brings. However, they needed to convey this skill to the thousands of seasonal workers hired every year in a more efficient manner.

The Solution

We helped Calgary Stampede enter the eLearning space by implementing our Super Lite Learning Management System: Belay. This allowed them to deploy knowledge to all workers, regardless of location or device. Together, we collaborated on an interactive course training workers on how to deliver the Wow factor in their role.

The Outcome

Calgary Stampede was able to train several thousand seasonal workers in only a few short days. Competency and completions were measured to assure that workers were certified to be true Stampede Rangers.
