Software Developer Intern

Summary

Reporting to Xpan’s Product Manager, the Software Developer Intern will be part of a remote team developing web-based PHP applications and maintaining our infrastructure. Xpan offers an opportunity to increase field experience in a positive and engaging environment. Our team driven environment allows an opportunity to share insight and learn from other developers as they building engaging learning applications.  

Ideal Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of software development education
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Problem-solver who enjoys a challenge
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong understanding of Structured Query Language and/or MySQL
  • Experience with PHP, JS, CSS, Laravel or a willingness to learn
  • Friendly, easy-going demeanor
  • Customer service experience

Skills and Expertise

  • Participate in morning stand -ups, dev meetings
  • Assist with customer support tickets
  • Assist with QA
  • Perform assigned dev tasks
  • Assist with account setups

Notes

  • Remote position, Mon-Fri, 830am – 5pm MT
  • Other duties may be required from time-to-time
  • Candidate ideally located in Calgary, Alberta (must be a Canadian citizen and reside in Canada)
