Multimedia Developer Intern

Summary

The successful candidate will be an integral part of Xpan’s team developing media-rich digital knowledge applications. As a Multimedia Developer, you will be using your creativity to help bring our course storyboards to life, creating high quality, engaging eLearning modules. You will use solid visual, interactive design and written communication skills to bring together text, images, video, motion graphics and audio to effectively serve client needs. You will be responsible for ensuring the end product successfully passed quality control standards and fulfills client objectives. This position interacts extensively with the team’s Project Manager and other specialists.

This role can be based in our Calgary office or virtually.

Here's What You’ll Do

  • Development in eLearning authoring tools, Articulate Storyline competency is a must
  • Development within the Adobe Suite, with a focus on After Effects and Character Animator
  • Assist in the ongoing development of blended eLearning applications
  • Assist others as needed to ensure a complete client experience
  • Work with the Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • Assist in quality control of projects
  • Implement the strategic goals and objectives of Xpan
  • Ensure a high standard of client service and execution
  • Develop, maintain and nourish customer relationships when required
  • Develop and maintain open communications with customers, stakeholders and others
  • Be informed of and follow Xpan’s policies and procedures

Here’s What You Need

  • Demonstrable portfolio of work
  • Knowledge of eLearning authoring tools like Articulate Storyline
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Character Animator
  • Knowledge of motion, video and audio software within the Adobe Suite
  • Knowledge of 3D software such as 3D Studio Max, Maya or Blender
  • Knowledge of XR tools such as Unity or Unreal
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to multitask
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to work as an effective member of a team, and
  • Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills

Education and Experience

  • Certificate or Degree in Multimedia Development
  • 2+ years experience
