Swine Flu goes pandemic, Xpan launches Healthy Transit
June 11, 2009
Calgary, AB - On June 11, the World Health Organization announced that the H1N1 virus entered into a pandemic phase. The virus is contagious, spreading easily from one person to another, and from one country to another. As of today, nearly 30,000 confirmed cases have been reported in 74 countries.
As the largest producer of Public Transportation Solutions, Bombardier realized the need to minimize the spread of this disease and provide support to transit authorities in order to combat the transmition of microbes. They chose Xpan to design and develop Healthy Transit, a web site dedicated to providing information, products and support for the rail industry.
