Motion Graphics / Video Developer

Summary

Reporting to the COO, the Motion Graphics Developer will be part of a tight-knit team developing media-rich digital knowledge solutions. You will conceptualize, design, and animate dynamic 2D and 3D graphics and/or dynamic 2D and 3D typography used in all aspects of videos, web-based content and eLearning courses. You will also assist in video post-production, editing and mastering a wide variety of productions. In this role, you are a part of a design team with a focus on larger efforts that will include a dedicated project manager. You will be responsible for ensuring the end product has successfully passed quality control standards and fulfills the objectives identified by the client. Whenever pertinent, you will assist directors and coordinators in video productions. This position will interact with the team’s project manager and other specialists.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the ongoing development of blended eLearning applications, including the conceptualization, design, and animation of dynamic 2D and 3D graphics/typography used in all aspects of videos and web-based content
  • Communicate effectively with other Xpaners on an ongoing basis to ensure the creative quality of your projects
  • Engage in strong self-management to organize project workloads to meet tight and, often, demanding deadlines
  • Must be highly collaborative and able to maintain creative excellence in a fast-paced, ever-changing landscape
  • Work with the Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and within scope
  • Take ownership role in the quality control of projects
  • Assist, as needed, to ensure a complete client experience
  • Develop and maintain open communications with customers, stakeholders, and others to maintain and nourish customer relationships

Skills and Expertise

  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud apps, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and Animate
  • Knowledge of digital media including codecs, image types, resolutions and frame rates
  • Knowledge of 3D Max and/or Unity is considered an asset
  • Excellent design, typography, and layout skills
  • Working knowledge of video production processes and 3D production processes
  • 3+ years experience in post-production or digital field
  • High level of digital literacy
  • Ability to work as an effective member of a team
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of design and development methodologies for web-enabled applications
  • Experience implementing web-based solutions
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel)

Education & Experience

  • Certificate or Degree in Video or Multimedia Development
  • At least three year’s experience in the communications or multimedia field
  • Proven experience working in a team environment
  • An established reel to showcase
